If you’re ready to move beyond maintenance massage and work confidently with injured clients, this advanced qualification will give you the expertise to assess, treat, and support recovery. It’s the natural next step after Level 3.

Why study Level 4 Sports Massage?

This course builds on your Level 3 knowledge, helping you deepen your understanding of anatomy and develop advanced techniques to prevent and manage injury. To enrol, you’ll need a Level 3 Sports Massage qualification (or equivalent). If you hold a Level 3 Diploma in Massage, you can join via our fast-track route before progressing to Level 4.

What you’ll learn

Through focused, hands-on training, you’ll:

  • Master advanced massage and palpation techniques.

  • Assess posture and movement with active, passive and resisted range of motion.

  • Build skills in postural analysis, functional testing, and special tests.

  • Work safely with muscle and para-tendon injuries using a variety of soft tissue methods.

  • Explore treatment approaches to support tissue repair and rehabilitation.

With Level 4, you can expand your client base and gain insurance to work with injured clients. Career paths include:

Home Study

To support your learning and build experience, you will be required to:

  • Complete case study treatments

  • Submit written assignments and blended learning tasks

Entry Requirements

  • Level 3 Sports Massage or L3 Massage with additional L3 Sports Massage fast track course

  • A good standard of written and spoken English, ideally Grade 4 or above in GCSE English
